After graduation I went to Metro State in Denver for a few years. Left to go build big buildings in commercial construction. Married a Boulder girl, got divorced. Remarried the right woman and have been very happily married for 43 years.
I quit construction in 1985 and joined the military, I spent 15 years on the flight line fixing electrical problems on jets. F-4’s, F-16’s and the B1-B Bomber. After 9-11, I spent 12 years in a Military Intelligence Wing as a Mission Supervisor for Unmanned drone missions overseas. I retired on Dec 31st, 2012. I spent three years working for the State of Kansas. I plowed snow, mowed grass, fixed road signs and put up new signs. I called it my brainless monkey job.
Then in 2016 I decided to quit working totally. Since then I do plenty of work everyday. My wife tells what to do and I jump right into it. My wife Marlene, retired from her job on Jan 1st, 2019. We have three children, a girl and two boys. We have eight grandkids, five boys and three girls. When we are not gardening or working on projects around the house we got to Soccer, basketball and volleyball games!! we enjoy spending time with our family and loved ones.
It just seems like a few years ago when we all graduated. I can’t believe that 50 years have flown by so fast!
